Today we would like to introduce you to Shea Wylie, one of our Assistant Event Coordinators. Shea started with Occasions three years ago and took a small break from the wedding and event industry, but she came back and has been doing weddings ever since. Shea is an absolute joy to be around. You'll always find her with a smile on her face and a can do attitude.
We asked Shea a few questions and we hope by reading her responses below, you get to know her a little bit. Tell us what you do at Occasions Events & Design As an Assistant Event Coordinator, I do a bit of everything from decorating the reception and ceremony site, making sure all the scheduled events on the timeline happen on time, cleaning up and packing at the end of the event, but most importantly I make sure our clients and their guests have an amazing time!
What is the BEST part of your job at Occasions Events & Design? You can always find me in the very back watching the first dance, cake cutting and everything in between. I often get called over the radio getting asked "where are you?!". Well, I'm watching all of the most beautiful "first" events as a married couple. Watching two people become one union before their family and friends, you just can't ask for a better job! What is the BEST thing about Occasions Events & Design as a company? I've known Blake for many years and I was extremely excited to accept the position at OED, but I had no idea just how much went in to a wedding or event. My favorite thing about OED is our Company's dedication to our events and each of our clients. We're trained in the beginning that our Clients day is EVERYTHING, so we make sure that our Clients and their Guests are completely taken care of. I've yet to see a task to big for us!

What do you like to do in your free time? When I'm not working you can always find me getting my nails done, doing some shopping or my favorite of all, getting a massage!
If you could pick one superpower, what would it be? If I could pick just one, it would have to be the ability to read minds! If you could give someone in your profession, what would it be? Always keep a positive attitude! Some event days are HARD, but worth it. I've learned if you keep a positive attitude, those few moments of the hard stuff pass and all you see is the amazing event that just took place. What is a fun fact that many people may not know? I have two grown children and a 20 month old grandchild who I absolutely adore! We just can't wait for you to meet Shea, we know you're going to love her just as much as we do. If you have a hard time finding her, just look for the bubbly personality and the smile that lights up the room.
